Résumé

Séances, Spirits, and Discernment: A Scholarly Investigation explores the cultural history of spiritualism and the human search for meaning beyond the material world. Written by an archaeologist, this living book examines séances, ghost stories, and supernatural claims through the lens of history, folklore, and religious studies. Rather than sensationalizing, it situates these practices in their social and cultural contexts, showing how communities wrestled with belief, doubt, and discernment.
This work is designed for the general public: readers curious about the paranormal, students of cultural history, and anyone interested in how societies interpret the unseen. Updated periodically with new material, it serves as a living archive - a book that grows alongside ongoing research and reflection.
