Lady in the Maze

This is a fictional work set in late Victorian times and relates to the goings on and appalling crimes committed on a sprawling estate, held for generations by the one family. A man living at the estate has no memory of the accident that damaged his body and mind, and is cared for by his brother, an eminent physician and medical pioneer. As the man's mental condition improves and memories return, he senses anomalies in his situation and suspects dark secrets withheld from him.
On hearing the cries at night of a woman lost somewhere on the rambling grounds, he sets out to save her, and in so doing discovers the dreadful truth that lies within the Hargreaves Estate.
