Résumé
The Ministry of the Interior released the official crime figures for the year 2022 in Italy where 383 homicides were committed, 25.2% more than in 2021, in this year 2023 a wave of homicides sets off alarms in Rome. This research seeks to know through statistics the behavior and trend of homicides in Italy. Homicides in which men, women and homicides committed by relatives were victims were analyzed, through a characterization of the subjects, an ANOVA, Shapiro Wilk and Pearson correlation test, the results between the variable total homicides and homicides by relatives, a Pearson correlation coefficient = 0.7671 was obtained, which can be said that the variables X and Y present a strong correlation.
This means that the problem of domestic violence, within the family nucleus, is one of the causes that explains the behavior of homicides in Italy. The result of the statistical forecast for the year 2024 indicates that homicides will be at 226 by relatives at 144, and by 2025 homicides will be at 203 by relatives at 142. This is evidenced by a significant percentage of homicides by family members in Italy, which demonstrates the trend of domestic violence behavior in Italian society.
