Freedom in Christ

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1In the world freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants. It's the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved. In the Church freedom is the spiritual liberation from the penalty and power of sin, granted through faith in Jesus, enabling believers to live in joyful obedience to God.
It is not a license for selfish living (the flesh), but the capacity to serve God and others in love, guided by the Holy Spirit, resulting in true holiness and purpose. Let's look at: 1)Freedom is free, 2)Freedom comes with responsibility and 3) Freedom came with a cost.
