In a nameless safe house high over the city, Jack Colder and Elena Rourke-Kane get one quiet night to prepare for a very loud war. She strips off the racetrack mask, pulls on a tank and shorts, and cooks steak rare while the tracking ring on her finger quietly reports their every move to Harlan Kane. Jack brings magnets, tape, and a plan to trick a billionaire's collar into taking a four-minute nap without setting off the backup sensor taped to Elena's spine.
Outside, Kane's car is already on their street, his ex-military minders counting stairs and testing vents. Inside, Jack times the ring's heartbeat, spoofs a second pulse, jams the elevator, rigs the door, and maps Elena a crawlspace escape route that threads through vending machines, laundry chutes, and a driver who owes him a favor. When Harlan calls to offer "one last chance" to hand his wife back, the safe house turns into a chessboard: Elena vanishes into the building's bones while Jack stays to bait the door.
