Recent pandemics, like AIDS, Avian-FLU and COVID -19 and HANTA-virus cases remind us of the necessity of ongoing research. Vaccination made Covid-19 less aggressive but did not eradicate the disease. Reported cases are now much more protracted and chronic. Recurrence is rather the rule than the exception. Still, a holistic approach is missing in the realm of infections.
