Dreams of the Pacific

Caitlin Jones had always dreamed of living on the West Coast, with the vast Pacific Ocean stretching out before her. However, fate had cruelly bound her to the East Coast, trapped in a small town just outside the bustling metropolis of New York City. As the nineteenth century marched on, Caitlin's longing to escape her humble origins and start anew out West only intensified. One day, while sifting through the mountain of mail that had accumulated at the local post office because of people's castoffs, Caitlin stumbled upon a faded flyer that caught her eye.
It was an advertisement for a mail-order bride service, promising a fresh start and a chance at love in the untamed lands of the West. With her heart racing, Caitlin read through the testimonials of women who had found happiness and fulfillment on the other side of the country. The idea of becoming a bride to a stranger was daunting, but the thought of embarking on an adventure to a place where she could finally spread her wings filled her with an excitement she hadn't felt in years.
