The next person did not do it.  Do not make them servie the sentence.  What happens when you still believe in love, but your past has trained yuou not to trust it?  Black love after the wounds is for black men and black women who have survived betrayal, abandonment, dovorce, incarceration, grief, emotional neglect, financial exploitation, disappointment, or relationships that taught them to protect themselves so well that closeness now feels dangerous.
