What news of Marius Chapoutier ?

There are now two Marius cuvées, one red, one white. Michel Chapoutier created them as a tribute to his great-grandfather, Marius, (1871-1937) who was quite a character ! He put the family name at the top of the list of Côtes du Rhône wines and made it famous even in the United States. All that remained was to reconstitute the various episodes of his extraordinary career, with all its joy, tragedy ans success.
After a year's research, sifting through archives and correspondence, collecting eye-witness accounts and photographs, the journalist and historian Jean-Claude Chapuzet has brought back to life Marius Chapoutier, a Tain l'Hermitage wine merchant who loves his terroir, vines and women.
