Dieser Band dokumentiert die 18. Dialogbegegnung von Theologinnen und Theologen des Ökumenischen Patriarchats und der Evangelischen Kirche in Deutschland, die vom 3. bis 7. Oktober 2022 in Berlin stattfand. Im Mittelpunkt der Begegnung stand der Austausch über die Texte des Heiligen und Großen Konzils der Orthodoxen Kirche (Kreta 2016) und deren Bedeutung für die Beziehungen zur Evangelischen Kirche.
Ausführlich thematisiert wurden das Konzilsdokument »Der Auftrag der Orthodoxen Kirche in der heutigen Welt« , das Dekret des Konzils über die Beziehungen zur nicht-orthodoxen Christenheit und die nach dem Konzil entstandene Schrift »Für das Leben der Welt« . Aus evangelischer Sicht wurde die ökumenische Bedeutung der Konzilstexte in theologischer und ethischer Hinsicht entfaltet. Mit Beiträgen von Georgios Basioudis, Konstantinos Delikostantis, Reinhard Flogaus, Elisabeth Gräb-Schmidt, Marina Kiroudi, Andreas Müller, Joachim Vette, Georgios Vlantis und einem Vorwort von Bischöfin Petra Bosse-Huber sowie Grußworten von Seiner Allheiligkeit des Ökumenischen Patriarchen Bartholomaios I., der Ratsvorsitzenden der EKD Präses Dr.
h.c. Annette Kurschus, den Leitenden der Delegationen, Bischöfin Petra Bosse-Huber und Metropolit Dr. h.c. mult. Augoustinos von Deutschland sowie von Bischof Dr. Christian Stäblein (Evangelische Kirche Berlin-Brandenburg-schlesische Oberlausitz). [Our Relations after the Holy and Great Council of Crete 2016. XVIII. Meeting in the Bilateral Theological Dialogue between the Protestant Church in Germany and the Ecumenical Patriarchate] This volume documents the 18th dialogue meeting between theologians of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Protestant Church in Germany, which took place in Berlin from 3rd to 7th of October 2022.
The meeting focussed on an exchange of views on the texts of the Holy and Great Council of the Orthodox Church (Crete 2016) and their significance for the relations with the Protestant Church. The Council document »Der Auftrag der Orthodoxen Kirche in der heutigen Welt« , the Council's decree on relations with non-Orthodox Christianity and the text »Für das Leben der Welt« , which was written after the Council, were discussed in detail.
From a Protestant perspective, the ecumenical significance of the Council texts was developed in theological and ethical terms.
