Der Band enthält die Beiträge der jüngsten drei Begegnungen zwischen der Evangelischen Kirche in Deutschland und der Russischen Orthodoxen Kirche aus den Jahren 2008, 2012 und 2015.
Die exegetischen, praktisch-theologischen und kirchengeschichtlichen Referate behandeln die Themen "Menschenrechte", "Kirche in der multikulturellen Gesellschaft" und "70 Jahre nach dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges".
Über das theologische Fachgespräch hinaus nehmen die Referate auch die gesellschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen des kirchlichen Wirkens in Deutschland und in der Russischen Föderation in den Blick. Mit dieser Ausrichtung leistet der Dialog einen besonderen Beitrag zur Verständigung der Transformationspartner Deutschland und Russland. [The Theological Dialogue with the Russian Orthodox Church. The Meetings 2008-2015] The volume contains the contributions of the three most recent meetings between the Evangelical Church in Germany and the Russian Orthodox Church in the years 2008, 2012, and 2015. The papers from the fields of exegesis, practical theology and church history deal with the topics "Human Rights" (Wittenberg 2008), "Church in Multi-cultural Society" (Rostov-on-Don 2012) and "70 Years after the End of the Second World War".
Beyond expert discussions, the papers also takes into account the social framework of the church's commitment in Germany and in the Russian Federation. With this perspective the dialogue makes a significant contribution to understanding between the partners in transformation, Germany and Russia.
