Democracy is unbiblical. According to the Jewish gentlemen who wrote themselves the means to a very comfortable income and a most generous retirement policy in what some folks claim is the Word of the capital G God of the entire Cosmos and beyond, Jewish folks are to live under a theocracy . an unquestionable religious dictatorship. Any murmurings of dissent will be met with the most lethal of consequences and you and your whole family will have the earth open up under you and you will be swallowed down into the depths of Sheol/Hell/Kur or whatever else it is that the people who make their livings from religious beliefs have imagined to keep you under control and keep you paying like you should.
Now that the biblical writings have been taken into all the world, this also applies to those of us who are not Jewish. The biblical writings give precedent and authority for how it is that the biblical writings may be taken into all the world. We are to read of the genocidal Conquest of the Promised Land and the burning of cities and the looting of gold and silver for the mythological Yahweh god and the ethnic cleansing and the enslavement of thousands of virgin girls as "handmaids" and possible human sacrifices to Yahweh, and nowhere do we find positive, life-affirming tales of the love of anyone's notion of what they imagine God to be.
It's a matter of belief as to whether of not Jesus was involved in the ethnic cleansing and genocide. But if we find edification in self-righteous misanthropy racism and misogyny, these are just the scriptures for us .!
