Résumé

He has no intention of letting the hero die.  Qurban never questioned his role. When the monks proclaimed him the hero of prophecy, destined to defeat the demon king, Qurban couldn't understand their reasoning, but they gave him a home. They fed him, clothed him, trained him day after day, forming him from a half-starved child into a blade in human form.  But what comes after? All his friends died.
The monks who raised him are less than scorch marks on the mountain, remembered only in the praise of people whose faces Qurban couldn't fully recall as the last vestige of the demon king, a toxic miasma, burrows into his bones.  With the demon king defeated and the holy maiden saved, what is even left for the prophesied hero?  Awoken by the call of his destiny, the legendary unicorn, Tekoa witnessed the fall of the demon king, carrying the freed princess from the chaos before racing back into the smoldering crater of a battlefield.
Scarred and worn to exhaustion by the weight of expectations and service, the man at the center seems ready to die - an unacceptable fate.  However, to save the hero, Tekoa must sacrifice his horn. While it is a price the unicorn is more than willing to pay, the hero refuses. Kept alive by Tekoa's kisses, Qurban seeks another means to purify the demonic energy that burrowed like a curse into his skin, but the clock is ticking, and the legendary unicorn has no intention of watching the hero die.
