Résumé

The year is 1950 and the war is 5 years in the past. Rory's company has grown out of all recognition to a leading supplier of goat's cheese through-out Ireland and beyond. The tourist part now operates over Kerry permanently booked over a year in advance. The expansion has brought changes from the hands-on approach to new management styles and strategic thinking. The village has expanded and new housing in modern styles is taking some of the traditions away and the community has fragmented into the old and new residents.
The old shops and stores are being replaced by supermarkets and chain stores. A new cinema opens to great applaud with one of Sally's films debuting the opening. Dean now drives a Land Rover on the land and Thomas a sedan for business meetings and status. Rory still walks and drives a trap to go places. Shamus is asked by G2 Dublin to look into the activity of Irish subversive activity in America who are supplying weapons and money back to the IRA in Eire.
With assistance from the FBI agents he moves under cover into the murky world of Nationalists in America. In Tralee Inspector Bethany handles the report from the receiving end of IRA activities encouraged from the USA. Siobhan is instructed by G2 to support both operations to report stage. Meanwhile Sally is invited to the set of Rio Grande to meet John Ford asking her to be co-producer in a new movie, The Quiet Man with John Wayne.
After the meeting with Ford and agreeing to be executive produce and onset Irish adviser - she has a surprise, tea and cake with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. In Kerry, Maurice Walsh walks into Jonas's pub and sees Rory - old friends, who talk about the future of Ireland together - everyone is speechless.
