The Night Shift

Elaine Jorce has worked the night shift at St. Mary's Hospital for three years. She knows every hallway. Every locked door. Every sound the basement morgue makes. Then bodies start disappearing. Security cameras show no intruders. No open doors. No mistakes. Until Elaine reviews the footage frame by frame at 2:17 AM. A body sits up. Walks out. The camera glitches. When the picture returns, the hallway is empty.
But Elaine is no longer alone on the night shift. Something came back with her.
