Résumé

-You'll be working here. Sit down."Start with your purpose in mind, " Tami told herself as she settled into the table the human resources employee had assigned her after welcoming her to Desarrollos Richmond. She stretched her skirt. She was more of a jeans or leggings and T-shirt kind of girl, but today she was wearing a very chic outfit whose price had shocked her. Not because she couldn't afford it, but because the price could have fed several of the families supported by the charity she had worked with.
Her stomach churned as she remembered the reason she'd been forced to leave. The same reason she was here now. After her father had made his demands clear, her mother had helped ensure she had everything appropriate for her new position: clothes, shoes, makeup, manicures, hairstyling, and even a new phone. The list was endless. But the end justified the means, and she could always return her mother's Chanel outfits to add to her collection for her next charity auction.
The human resources employee smiled at her, but the smile wasn't reflected in her cold blue eyes. Were they all like that around here? So distant? But then she thought something else. Could this woman be the mole her father had at Richmond Developments who had gotten her the job to spy on one of the directors?-In this office we try to use as little paper as possible, so you will take all your notes on the computer or the device that will be given to you.
We'll give you your passwords by email. Don't share them with anyone. Understood? Those words were like a punch in the stomach. No one knew what had brought her there. Well, no one except her, her father, the charity whose funds had been stolen, and the disgusting scum who had stolen them. So yes, some people did know. And those words in particular had reminded her how stupid she'd been to let her boyfriend use her computer."Ex-boyfriend, " she said with a lump in her throat.-Don't worry.
I take security very seriously."Now". She'd learned her lesson when her ex-boyfriend, the director of the charity Our People, Our Homes, had asked for her computer to access her bank account and drain it. And while she was a forgiving person, she would never forgive Mark for stealing from people in such need and forcing her to ask her father for help. Moved by a sense of responsibility to the charity, she had offered to repay the stolen two and a half million with money from a fund her grandmother had set up for her but wasn't allowed to manage due to some rebellious acts she had committed as a teenager.
So her father, who was the trustee, had agreed to give her the money if, in return, she would spy on his greatest rival.-Mr. Richmond will be here in a moment. And although he'll basically take care of everything himself, be prepared to attend some meetings, because he will ask you to take some notes and upload them to the cloud, which you'll share only with him. Is that clear?-Absolutely clear.-If you need me, please contact me by phone or email.
You have my details on your computer.-Thank you. I'm sure I'll do well.
