Résumé

He saw her in the Spice Bazaar, just another tourist browsing that old Istanbul market, famous for selling spices, nuts, and over a thousand varieties of tea. Just another tourist, even though she stood out with her blonde hair, blue eyes, and red jeans that hugged her curves like a second skin. Of course, he wasn't interested. It was curiosity that led him to slow his steps when he saw her raise her camera to take a picture of a shop selling lamps of every color and design imaginable.
It was curiosity alone that drove him to continue watching her as the stall owner took advantage of her stillness to offer her a plate of his finest Turkish delight. She hesitated and stepped back, murmured a few apologies, and shook her head. However, the shopkeeper didn't give up and continued to insist that she try it "just a little."Kadar stopped at the stall across the street and ordered the dates he'd come to buy for Mehmet.
Then he looked over his shoulder to see who had the stronger willpower, the shopkeeper or the tourist. The former had finally managed to capture the latter's attention and, still plastered with a smile on his wrinkled face, was randomly calling out country names to try to figure out which one she was from. As if she'd finally realized she'd lost the battle, the woman gave in and said something Kadar couldn't make out, but it made the shopkeeper's smile even wider as she assured him that Turks adored Australians.
Then she took a delicacy from the plate and brought it to her lips. Kadar was distracted for a few seconds as he handed over a very large bill in exchange for the dates he had asked for and was forced to wait while someone went to get change. He didn't care. The tourist had a mouth worth observing. Her lips were juicy and full. She smiled slightly before putting the sweet into her mouth. A moment later, the smile grew even brighter.
Her blue eyes shone with pleasure, so much so that they illuminated the market like a shining lamp. Kadar felt that smile awaken a wave of heat in him that produced a strong excitement and made his thoughts very primitive. It had been a long time since he had possessed a woman. It had been a long time since he had felt temptation. However, At that moment he felt very tempted. She looked around to make sure there wasn't a man with her and that there were no stickers on her clothing indicating she was part of a group that could swallow her up and take her away at any moment.
No. I was alone. I could have her if I wanted to. That thought came to him with the certainty of someone who had rarely been rejected by a woman. It wasn't arrogance. There was no denying that the odds were in his favor. Nothing more. She continued smiling, her face very animated. She was like a ray of sunshine and color in a sea of dark coats and black veils. She was ready to buy something; she was already reaching into her purse.
I could have it.He imagined himself slowly peeling away the layers that covered her, one by one. Slowly unzipping the leather jacket she was wearing and stripping it off her, a jacket that beautifully molded her breasts and waist. Then he would remove her striking jeans. Everything else would follow in a similar fashion until she stood before him naked in all the splendor of that pale skin. Finally, he would loosen her honey-gold hair and let it fall over her shoulders so he could caress her breasts, erect and eager for his touch.
Her mouth would taste so sweet, like the Turkish delight he'd just tasted. Her blue eyes would darken with desire, and she'd smile after moistening her lips as she stretched her arms out toward him.
