The author, Stephen Wollaston, was given the name Santoshan by an English Swami. He has been a trustee of the UK charity GreenSpirit for many years, is a member of its publications and editorial team, and authored, coauthored and edited more than a dozen books on spiritual and Gaia-related topics. In 2020 he was ordained as a OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation minister.
