Shelter in Place Solitaire

Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Fire Station 1.  The end of the world. Unintentional consequences cause firefighter Matt Daniels to miss a run (one of the most embarrassing things that can happen to a fireman).  Waking up from his near-comatose state, he discovers the world he knows lying in ruins as an alien invasion is under way.  Isolated and alone with no knowledge of his fellow firefighters, Matt works to secure his home away from home without attracting any unwanted attention from the lethal invaders.  The only information he can attain comes from a failing radio station and the DJ trapped within.  Witnessing civilization collapsing around him, Matt reflects on his career and the relationship with the members of his crew.  When his resources and sanity run low, Matt is forced to take action.  But his plan, like much of his efforts to safeguard the station, gets subverted and he must improvise a new strategy in his effort to escape the city.
