Résumé
To many people, Revelation is viewed as a frightening book filled with catastrophe, tribulation, wrath, persecution, beasts, judgment, and cosmic upheaval. Entire generations have approached Revelation with fear, confusion, or obsession with destruction. Yet this is not how the book introduces itself. The very first verse declares: "The Revelation of Jesus Christ." (Revelation 1:1). Revelation is first and foremost not the revelation of antichrist, disaster, or wrath.
It is the unveiling of Jesus Christ in His glory, authority, kingship, victory, and eternal reign. While the book indeed contains warnings, judgments, and tribulation, these are not its ultimate message. The central message of Revelation is this: Christ wins, evil is defeated, and the faithful overcome. God dwells eternally with His people. The final chapters of Revelation reveal not devastation, but restoration.
Not despair, but eternal joy. Not abandonment, but union with God forever. The book ends not with darkness, but with the New Jerusalem, the River of Life, the Tree of Life, healing, eternal peace, the removal of death, and face-to-face fellowship with God. Revelation is therefore not merely a warning to the rebellious; it is glorious good news for those who remain faithful to Christ. This volume of work dives into the Book of Revelation, for the purpose of encouraging, edifying, unveiling the truth and also equipping the believer in wisdom for the end of days.
