He teaches and investigates the fields of migration, religion and social integration; controversies and coexistence in religious pluralism; Diaspora Studies; Hindu and Buddhist traditions in the West. His most recent publication in co-authorship is "Integrationspotenziale von Religion und Zivilgesellschaft", Baden-Baden 2016. Dr. theol. Michael Bünker was born in 1954. He has been the General Secretary of the "Community of Protestant Churches in Europe (CPCE)" since 2007 and the Bishop of the Protestant Church A.

Karsten Lehmann is presently working as Head of Social Sciences and Statistics at the Research Department of the KAICIID International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue in Vienna. His present work focuses primarily on the role of religions in international relations, empirical dialogue research, the analysis of secularization processes, and research methods.
