Résumé
This book introduces Nationesis, a new transdisciplinary science dedicated to the study of political communities as complex adaptive systems whose durability depends on regenerative processes rather than institutional replication or coercive stabilization. Nationesis reconceptualizes nations not as static legal entities, but as living systems structured through the interaction of cognitive, symbolic, and structural layers, coordinated by a higher-order mechanism termed national cognition-the distributed capacity of societies to process information, generate collective meaning, learn from crisis, and adapt over time.
Drawing on complexity science, cognitive systems theory, political philosophy, postcolonial studies, and comparative governance research, the book develops a formal analytical framework for diagnosing national resilience, predicting systemic fragility, and designing regenerative political architectures. It introduces operational concepts, diagnostic matrices, and early-warning indicators capable of distinguishing between institutional weakness and deeper forms of cognitive-symbolic misalignment that precede political collapse.
