Songbook with 30 Songs by Stephen C. Foster, notated for the Mandolin. Stephen Collins Foster (1826-1864) was an American composer and probably the best-known songwriter of the time. Many of his compositions - above all: Camptown Races, Oh Susanna and Beautiful Dreamer - are still known today and are an integral part of the US-American culture. Some of the songs are polyphonic (for one player) and notated in tablature and classical notation.
The sounds of the songs (melody with backing band and backing band alone - "Playalong") are available online in a sound player with adjustable playback speed. Videos explain how to read music, web address and access data in the book. Suitable for beginners.
