Missouri has produced many celebrities and famous personalities through the years. It seems they are all colorful characters with unlikely backgrounds. Paul Harvey was an American radio broadcaster for ABC News Radio. He broadcast "News and Comment" mornings and middays, as well as his famous "The Rest of the Story" segments.
From 1951 to 2008, his programs reached as many as 24 million people per week. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and died in Phoenix, Arizona, without any significant Missouri connections. I was an avid Paul Harvey fan, so I thought, "Why not combine Missouri's famous persons' stories with Paul Harvey's flair for storytelling?" That's what you'll find in the pages of this book.
