Heilige Sprachen?. Zur Debatte um die Sprachen der Bibel im Studium der Theologie

Noch immer behaupten die alten Sprachen Hebräisch, Griechisch und Latein ihre Stellung am Anfang des Theologiestudiums. Die Modularisierung des Studiums zwingt jedoch nun zu einer Revision. Dafür bedarf es sorgfältig abgewägter Argumente, bei denen die theologische Relevanz der Sprache überhaupt zum Thema gemacht werden muss. Denn an der "Sprachenfrage" entscheidet sich nicht weniger als die Stellung der Theologie unter den Wissenschaften und im Blick auf die Kirche. Der Band bringt interdisziplinäre Erwägungen zu einer verantworteten Neufassung der alten Sprachen für das Studium der Theologie ins Gespräch. But the modularization of study now calls for a revision. This requires a careful consideration of arguments, in which the question of the theological relevance of language plays an important role.
