Eine ethische Orientierung des Sports muss von der Sinnstruktur sportlichen Handelns ausgehen und die Grammatik des Sports ernst nehmen. Die folgenden Überlegungen zu einer Ethik des Sports in theologischer Hinsicht versuchen zunächst das Phänomen "Sport" zu verstehen. Dabei geht es vor allem darum, den Sport nicht nur zum Gegenstand der moralischen Orientierung zu machen, sondern sich durch Sport herausfordern zu lassen, um so neue Perspektiven auf die Ethik zu gewinnen.
