Résumé
Against all odds, Marshal Sturm has decisively crushed the recent invasion of Kriegsturm, but the overpowering threat of Ahl-Alnaar Ashomol remains. Hoping to take advantage of the momentary weakness created by the loss of the south's invading army, the Sturm Front leads his musket men, a few hundred Granite Knights, a ragtag collection of Al-Andalus militia men and the dregs of a battalion of regular army pikemen toward the heart of the southern empire-the legendary city of Madinat Alharir.
If he wins his gambit, Kriegsturm will have years to prepare for the next invasion. If he loses it, nothing stands between the south and the heart of his high kingdom. It's a roll of the dice with the future of two empires as the stakes. Sturm Strike: Earl Marshal Sturm just crushed the invasion of Kriegsturm by Ahl-Alnaar, but unless he can teach the southerners a hard lesson, the Sturm Front knows that his saber-rattling neighbors will return.
With this in mind, Sturm has gathered a force roughly half the size of the army he just defeated to venture down the Spice Road toward the legendary city of Madinat Alharir. He knows he's walking a tightrope. If he can humiliate High Sheik Rami though further losses, he can put an end to the man's ambitions to conquer Kriegsturm. But if he loses this army, there is nothing left in Al-Andalus to stop Rami from claiming the entire province.
With his allies pleading for a more cautious approach, Sturm must grab destiny by the throat and risk everything in one decisive Sturm Strike. Eye of the Sturm: Marshal Sturm marched his musket men deep into the territory of Ahl-Alnaar Ashomol-clear to legendary Madinat Alharir, "the Wandering City." High Sheik Rami and his top officials are Sturm's prisoners and the bulk of Rami's army is further south fighting his rebellious cousin, Sheik Asim, unaware that their ruler has been captured by the hated warriors of Wotan.
Now, with the wealthiest city in the empire defenseless before him, Sturm has no choice but to attempt to conquer it-but what chance does his small militia have of controlling half a million southerners who worship the nemesis of the god of Kriegsturm? As hostile forces swirl around them, Sturm and his men must find a way to establish peace at the Eye of the Sturm. Sturm Moons: After almost being assassinated, Marshal Sturm lies blinded, bed-ridden and near death while his senior officers struggle to find a path forward for holding Madinat Alharir, a city of five hundred thousand Naar worshipers who have no love for Wotan.
The hot, waterless, three-moon-long Dry Season provides the Northerners a quarter of a year to prepare for an invasion of nomads attacking from the north and an equally large army of professional, Ahl-Alnaar soldiers attacking from the south. With the heat preventing reinforcements, can a leaderless group of officers find a way to save their recent conquest and survive the Sturm Moons?
