A Molly Jones Mystery: The Emerald Necklace

The local jewelry store owner ran into Detective Jones's office to report a priceless emerald necklace had been stolen. Detective Molly instantly focused on the crime and sprang into action, her Detective instincts kicking in. Detective Molly Jones assured the owner that she would get to the bottom of this. Then with a determined look on her face Molly, set out with the shop owner to investigate the crime scene of the mysterious theft.
Detective Molly Jones began her investigation by examining the scene of the crime. She carefully inspected the display case where the necklace had been kept, looking for any clues that might lead her to the thief. As she scanned the area, something caught her eye - a blonde hair was stuck to the corner of the case. Collecting the evidence, she placed it into an envelope specifically for DNA evidence.  Her next stop was the crime lab to check the DNA and hoping to get a match.
Detective Jones gave the sample evidence to Marla the Forensic Tech, who processed it and asked Molly to come back to her office while they waited for the results. About an hour later Marla went to check if she had gotten a match on the DNA. The results were puzzling. The DNA matched one of the wealthiest women in the area, Lady Cabott, an heiress who lived on the outskirts of town. Molly thanked the tech, and dashed off to unravel the mystery of the stolen necklace
