Zukunftsgestalten der Praktischen Theologie
Die renommierten »Arbeiten zur Praktischen Theologie« erreichen 2025/26 ihren 100. Band, was die Herausgeber und Herausgeberinnen zu einer Zwischenbilanz veranlasst. Zehn Kollegen und Kolleginnen in frühen Karrierephasen wurden zu einer transgenerationalen Zukunftswerkstatt eingeladen, die ihren Niederschlag in dieser Veröffentlichung findet.
Praktisch-theologische Zukunftsgestalten beinhalten neue Forschungsfelder wie Verlusterfahrungen oder verborgene Machtkonstellationen.
Dazu kommen neue Akteure: Influencer, Freiwillige und religiös Engagierte außerhalb der Kirche. Wichtig sind zudem die Medien der religiösen Kommunikation, etwa bestimmte poetische, narrative und argumentative Figuren, rituelle Praktiken und digitale Formate. Und schließlich stehen die Transformationen von Gesellschaft, Religion und Kirche im Fokus. Insgesamt zeigen die Beiträge: Die Gestalt der Praktischen Theologie selbst wird sich verändern.
Das Fach wird seine empirische Methoden sowie die Balancen zwischen Theologie und Kirche neu justieren. Es wird sich für Nachhaltigkeit öffnen und »Future Literacy« vermitteln, stärker als öffentlicher Akteur und kirchliche Beratungswissenschaft agieren. Mit Beiträgen von Sonja Beckmayer, Laura Brand, Alexander Deeg, Michael Domsgen, Matthias Frenzel, Lukas Grill, Friederike Jaeckel, Hanna Kauhaus, Julia Marburger, Kristin Merle, Niklas Peuckmann, Marcell Saß, Manuel Stetter und Marleen Wörner-Niemann. A multi-generational discussion] The renowned »Arbeiten zur Praktischen Theologie« (Works on Practical Theology) will reach its 100th volume in 2025/26, prompting the editors to take stock. Ten colleagues in the early stages of their careers were invited to a transgenerational future workshop, the results of which are reflected in this publication. Practical theological visions of the future include new fields of research such as experiences of loss or hidden power constellations.
In addition, there are new actors: influencers, volunteers and religiously committed people outside the church. The media of religious communication are also important, such as certain poetic, narrative and argumentative figures, ritual practices and digital formats. Finally, the focus is on the transformations of society, religion and the church. Overall, the contributions show that the form of practical theology itself will change.
The discipline will readjust its empirical methods and the balance between theology and the church. It will open up to sustainability and teach »future literacy« , acting more strongly as a public actor and ecclesiastical advisory science.
