Iron and Steam, The Graphic Novel

Iron and SteamThe fireless planet. The molten war. On the planet Vapor, combustion is impossible and survival depends on steam and electromagnetic technology. The Thinribbon Airship Port stands as an industrial powerhouse-its future balanced precariously on the molten energy of the Magma Sea. Dylyn Van Schoonover isn't concerned with politics. She was born a Commoner, raised in workshops, fluent in Common, the language elites pretend not to hear.
She lives to build, repair, and survive. Until war arrives. It begins with sabotage: a refinery destroyed, a rail line shattered, a supply convoy gone. The on-planet Lesser Houses dismiss the threat as pirates. But Dylyn and her fellow engineers at Schoonover Iron and Steam know better. This isn't piracy. It's an invasion. The aliens bring weapons Vapor has never seen-energy beams, drones, and shields impervious to steam-powered weapons.
The Lesser Houses falter. The colony panics. But Dylyn doesn't run. She builds. With her crew-including Garner Ashby, a heavyworlder mechanic, and Calais, an android with secrets-Dylyn transforms factory tools into electromagnetic railguns, iron slug steam cannons, and battlesuits. Still, the enemy isn't here to conquer. They're here to search. They deploy signal arrays into the Magma Sea, seeking something buried deep in the molten abyss.
No one understands what. But Dylyn knows this: if the invaders find it, Vapor is lost. As war ignites, the laborers and machinists -- Commoners --  rally behind Dylyn. In the cockpit of her Mark IV battlesuit -crafted from a modified Lava fishing suit-she leads a desperate defense. The aliens retreat. Vapor survives. But only for now. Because something else is down there. Watching. Waiting. Why Iron and Steam? This is a steampunk first-contact war.
It's fireless combat, molten mystery, and high-stakes sci-fi survival. Featuring a brilliant heroine and a world where technology is both weapon and weakness, Iron and Steam launches a saga where humanity must build its future-bolt by bolt. Join the fight. Save Vapor, the colony world.
