Arnesen's Stabat Mater sets the 13th-century Latin hymn alongside two contemporary poems, including a commissioned text by Euan Tait and a poem by a child hospitalised with cancer. Rich harmonies and memorable melodies combine to create a powerful choral work. This vocal score includes organ accompaniment and is compatible with the chamber orchestra version available on hire. A version for upper voices (SSAA) is also available.
