Once upon a time in the prosperous kingdom of Cornucopia all the subjects of King Fred the Fearless had a wonderful life full of joy and gourmet meals. But, unfortunately, a mythical monster, the Ickabog, will overthrow their not so everlasting peace.
As usual with J. K. Rowling, it is the children who are the cleverest and the bravest.
I really enjoyed embarking on a witty, funny, ironic, clever adventure about the ravages of adult naivety written by one of the world’s best storytellers.
A brilliantly sombre fairy tale
