Mr Wilder and Me

In the heady summer of 1977, twenty-one-year-old Calista meets famed Hollywood director Billy Wilder. She knows nothing about him, but when he offers her a job on a Greek island that has been turned into a film set, Calista accepts the glamorous opportunity with open arms. Wilder, in the meantime, is living with the realization that his star may be on the wane. Rebuffed by Hollywood, he is striving to make a success of the most unlikely of films on German money.
When Calista follows him to Munich, she finds herself joining him on a journey into the dark heart of his family history.
