Landi has landed, was the headline in the San José Mercury News to greet Marco Landi's arrival at Apple Computer's headquarters in Cupertino. Expected as the messiah to turn around the famous Apple brand, then in severe decline, the new global President of Apple will work on the return of its emblematic founder : Steve Jobs... However, nothing predestined the author to live such a success story. Born in Chianciano, a small village in Tuscany, and from a very modest family, the young Marco Landi had to work from the age of 11 as a shoe salesman to pay for his books and his schooling.
