Captain Corelli's Mandolin

Kefalonia, 1941. Captain Corelli, an enigmatic young Italian Officer, is assigned to the idyllic Greek island as part Of Axis occupying forces. At first shunned by the locals, he turns out to be kind, full of humor and an accomplished musician. The captain soon finds himself confronted with the beautiful and strong-willed daughter of Dr. Iannis, Pelagia, who discovers all the complexity of love in a paradise at war.
