Jean-Yves Ferri fait partie des auteurs français de bande dessinée les plus talentueux. En effet, il peut travailler en qualité de coloriste, de dessinateur et de scénariste. Il est né en 1959 dans une cabine à proximité d’un champ d’avoine. D’origine modeste, son travail remarquable et son talent vont attirer l’attention des éditions Hachette. En effet, depuis juillet 2011, il a été copté pour le scénario de « Astérix Tome 35 - Astérix chez les Pictes ». Dans cette célèbre œuvre de René Goscinny et Albert Uderzo, Jean-Yves Ferri reste fidèle aux ingrédients qui ont fait le succès des albums Astérix. Le lecteur vit l’aventure en Écosse avec au rendez-vous des romains, de la potion magique et un formidable jeu de mots.
Jean-Yves Ferri est aussi l’auteur du livre Retour à Terre paru en 5 tomes. Dans le premier tome « Le retour à la terre Tome 1 - La Vraie vie » réalisé en collaboration avec Manu Larcenet, Ferri illustre une autobiographie de Manu lui-même. C’est l’histoire d’un dessinateur citadin qui décide de vivre à la campagne avec sa concubine et son chat. Ce nouveau départ connaîtra t-il le succès ?
