Résumé

Magdalena Wallace is back! The world's greatest writer survived the novel designed to kill readers, and now she needs to save humanity . and all the monsters, too. In addition to her delightful non-binary golem friend, the compulsively foul-mouthed King of Trolls, and the fan favorite lesbian vampire, this adventure has baby werewolves!  Maybe a dragon? Certainly a lot of social commentary and existential dread.
A moderate amount of dismemberments and exsanguinations. And jokes! "Be warned: This book is packed with monsters, comedy, action, romance, and adorable werewolf pups!" -Karen Eisenbrey, author of Ego & Endurance, the Daughter of Magic series, and the St. Rage duology "It's action-packed, filled with fantastic creatures, hilarious, and sharp. We meet so many characters and return to an awesome one who is at the intersection of identities and, honestly, an inspiration."-Zaji Cox, author of Plums for Months: Memories of a wonder-filled, neurodivergent childhood "Benjamin Gorman is at least three goblins in a trench coat.
.There is no other logical explanation." -Maren Anderson, author of Sparks, who is at least three winged unicorns in an off-the-shoulder, A-line dress
Benjamin Gorman teaches high school English in Independence, Oregon, where he lives with his essentially perfect son, Noah. Ben completed his first novel while in high school and has been trying to hone his craft ever since. Besides studying literature and writing in order to teach about them, he tries to practice on a number of platforms like his blog (www. TeacherGorman.com) and Twitter (@teachergorman).
Ben is a graduate of Whitworth University (B. A. in Philosophy), George Fox University (Masters in Teaching), and the Oregon Writing Project (part of the National Writing Project) at Willamette University. He's been named to the National Writing Project's Council of Writers. His novel The Digital Storm was selected as a Top Five Book Pick of 2018 by the San Diego Union Tribune. He has been told he looks like Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins but has the voice of Steve Buscemi.
