In 1995, a young girl is torn from her homeland by a devastating conflict. After surviving the immediate fallout, she is adopted into a quiet, safe life in Australia. The transition is so drastic, and the trauma so deep, that her mind completely blocks out the past-wiping away her native language, her heritage, and her real name. Twenty-five years later, that carefully built safety begins to slip.
Sudden, vivid flashbacks start interrupting her daily life.
