The journey finds them encountering hostile aliens that force them to flee further from Earth and into salvation by friendly species. The ShanTu offers a world that could sustain humanity, a new home of hope for humankind.
On the planet, technology is uncovered that allows humanity to jump nearly 150 years into the future. This enables them to secure the borders of Pegasus and build a new home for humankind. Two planets became populated over 300 years, and once again, humanity was alive and growing. Aliens attack and overwhelm the security arm of humanity - the Galactic Star Force. A courageous battle ensues, in fact, several.
