Résumé

At first glance, one might have the sensation that this is another sermon ordinarily offered at your Sunday or Saturday pulpit by the 'Man of God' as it were! Well, it is not! First and foremost, it is imperative that we try to consider our position here, we are a people of diverse colors and languages and for that reason, Christianity must be vested in a new vesture to fit the times, discoveries and understanding!.
Our cultures are so enormously diverse but all the cultures mostly point to our growth ere here on earth from birth to death. There is something akin to a similarity of the same origin for all humanity that points to 'beyond here.' The fundamental question is why are we really here? Why were our ancestors brought to this planet in the first place? We can also twist the query to be inclusive of creation.
Out there in the vast universe (we acknowledge it is vast), is God-Supreme and gods depicting the power of light and darkness, good and evil. The whole universe is watching the earth which is the battle field between good and evil, love and hate, light and darkness! E. G. White calls this occurrence "The history of the great conflict between good and evil, ." (Patriarchs and Prophets vol. 1 pg 2 [33]).
Wilson K. Maiyo, writing under the pen name Will Anthony Jr., is a thoughtful and reflective author whose work bridges faith, lived experience, and social insight. His writing emerges from a deeply personal journey shaped by family, ministry, and an enduring commitment to truth and healing. With a voice that is both pastoral and analytical, Maiyo engages readers at the intersection of spiritual formation and real-world challenges, offering perspectives that are as practical as they are profound.
At the heart of his work lies a passion for discipleship-not merely as a theological concept, but as a lived, transformative process. His writings consistently explore what it means to move beyond conversion into a life of Christlikeness, emphasizing growth, discipline, and intentional faith. This focus is evident in his broader series, Beyond the Verse: Contextual Insights for Deeper Faith, where he examines Scripture within its lived context, inviting readers to engage with biblical truths in a way that is both intellectually grounded and spiritually enriching.
Maiyo's authorship is also deeply informed by his personal experiences within blended family dynamics, marital restoration, and the complexities of human relationships. Drawing from real-life narratives, he addresses sensitive issues such as intimate partner violence (IPV), gender-based violence (GBV), and family conflict with clarity and compassion. His approach does not sensationalize pain but instead seeks to illuminate pathways toward understanding, accountability, and healing.
In addition to his theological and social writings, Maiyo ventures into creative and allegorical storytelling. His works of fiction carry spiritual symbolism that challenges readers to reflect on divine truth through imaginative narrative. These stories, while simple in structure, are layered with meaning, often inspired by everyday observations and profound moments of insight-even those drawn from the innocent reflections of a child.
