Résumé

Jung's ideas have entered everyday language, yet terms such as archetype, shadow, persona, complex, synchronicity, and individuation are often used without their original distinctions. The Pocket Dictionary of Jung offers a concise, reliable map of analytical psychology and its later developments. Written in clear American English, the book presents 225 alphabetized entries covering the collective and personal unconscious, psychological types, dreams, active imagination, clinical method, symbolic and religious life, alchemy, major works, formative relationships, and post-Jungian schools.
Every entry includes a focused definition, theoretical or historical context, cross-references, and a clinical or interpretive significance note. Designed for students, clinicians, educators, writers, and curious readers, this volume explains Jung without turning symbolic interpretation into a fixed code or historically contested claims into timeless facts. It is Volume 3 of The Pocket Psychoanalysis Library from ABRAFP International Press.
Deivede Eder Ferreira is a Brazilian psychoanalyst, philosopher, and writer, recognized for uniting the precision of theory with the depth of human experience. He is the founder of ABRAFP - The Brazilian Association of Philosophy and Psychoanalysis, established in 2008, through which he trains and inspires thinkers, students, and mental health professionals. With writing that blends clarity, reflection, and poetic depth, he invites readers to rediscover the mystery of being human through the lens of psychoanalysis.
