Résumé
Volume-Four of "The Menton Chronicles" provides us with another four tales of female-led fantasy fiction with heavy overtones of the occult, the supernatural, and human bondage. Read on, as an English businessman looks to escape to Suffolk's East-Coast and finds himself in a strange but delightful fishing village. A peaceful and delightful fishing village he finds presided over by a mature French woman and the women living with her.
As well as their large Caribbean housekeeper, who sees MUCH potential in him! Next we have a two-book misadventure that starts in London and ends badly in Haiti as two brothers and fellow academics find themselves separated by time but not by destiny when the older of them succumbs to the occult powers of Madame Fabienne and, years after his death, the younger brother finds himself somehow compelled to travel to Haiti in order to experience a similar and devastating fate. The final tale of four sees a wealthy English reveller in Paris, celebrating the Atlantic crossing of Lindbergh with his fiancé, ripped forever from her embrace after his eyes meet those of a mysterious Eastern European lad he, for some reason, finds it impossible to disobey.
No matter how humiliating and illegal her orders! Volume-Four contains: "La Voile de Soie"; "Revisiting a Woman of Haiti"; "Bound in Port-au-Prince"; and "Rodica Cel Tradat" 4-Books of believable fantasy and occult female-led fiction for those readers who prefer to have their imagination teased rather than bludgeoned.
