The Last Gryphon

War destroyed everything they loved. Twenty thousand years ago, the Gryphene had to escape from Earth. The ancients gods had no more value in the life of the modern human populations and they hunted the Gryphene into hiding. Even as the oldest race in the universe, they didn't have the skills to help them face the machines that attacked their new home planet, Xyridia. But there lingered a memory of other Gryphene, who chose to stay and perhaps survived the great war that destroyed Earth.
The last words of their queen sent Galen and Richard on an impossible quest to find the Lost Gryphene to save their people from complete annihilation. Despite travelling to every inhabited planet, and making every effort, they were ready to give up hope of finding more of their people. But destiny had different plans for the two men when they crossed paths with the people of Zo'en and Xa'an. While struggling to keep going, Richard was drawn into the politics of the High Order on Zo'en only to realise that love had its own rules in this game.
Now alone in the quest, Galen decided to deliver the scrolls of the Gryphene to the library of the Ancients, as the last act to somehow preserve the existence of the Gryphene. Only to have fate step in once again to overthrow his plans. Will his last act be that of a lonely reluctant king or the destiny of a happy man?
