Résumé
The cheating through stuffing ballots in the 1948 Democratic Primary election by LBJ and his political allies, Jim Wells County Sheriff H. T. Sain and Duval County Sheriff and judge George Parr against Johnson's opponent Coke R. Stevenson led to a flurry of news reports that caused the Jim Wells Texas County Sheriff H. T. Sain to order his deputies to rough up the newsmen that began questioning Johnson and his cronies' corrupt tactics to steal this political contest, causing radioman Bill Mason, one of the newsmen that was assaulted, to probe into the corrupt vice activities of Jim Wells County Deputy Sheriff Sam Smithwick in the town of Alice, Texas.
To make radioman Mason be quiet with his reports of corruption, Smithwick assassinated Mason after a car pursuit and was subsequently sent to prison. The labor organizer and newspaperman Carlo Tresca was assassinated by the Vito Genovese crime family boss Vito Genovese through an arranged contract mob hit by hitman drug kingpin Carmine Galante after Vito Genovese fled to fascist Italy to avoid a murder charge in America and became close to Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, who wanted Genovese to assassinate Tresca for his criticism of fascism in his U.
