Dave Williams, his wife of fifteen years, Susan and their fourteen-year-old son Mark live on a rundown council estate where drugs and crime are never far away. Out of the blue, he inherits a large Victorian house in need of repair from an uncle he never knew he had and under the house, he discovers a secret bunker in which he finds a reel of cine film addressed to him from the uncle, who advises Dave to restore and stock the bunker because the moon is going to be hit by an asteroid.
Dave confirms by internet, the asteroid theory and gets to work preparing the bunker for his family and friends. Dave has a barbecue and shows the bunker to his friends. No sooner has he done that when there is a bright flash and explosion. Dave gets everybody in the bunker and seals the entrance. The adventure begins. Follow Dave, his family and friends, in this tale of man's tenacity in the face of adversity.
The group has no idea what is in store for them, but they are going to find out, and life will change forever.
