Résumé

What if some alien abduction stories did not end aboard a spacecraft above Earth? For decades, witnesses around the world have claimed something far more extraordinary. They say they were taken beyond our planet, transported across impossible distances, shown other worlds, introduced to unfamiliar civilisations and eventually returned with memories that challenged everything they believed about reality.
Some described journeys lasting hours, while others spoke of days, weeks or months spent away. A few returned to discover that time on Earth appeared to have passed very differently from the time they remembered experiencing elsewhere. Taken Beyond Earth investigates these remarkable accounts in depth. Alec Newald believed that ten missing days in 1989 were spent with another civilisation after what should have been an ordinary drive through New Zealand.
Carl Higdon claimed that a strange being called Ausso transported him from the Wyoming wilderness to a distant world containing extraordinary technology and apparently human inhabitants. Elizabeth Klarer said she travelled to Meton, lived among the family of the extraterrestrial Akon and gave birth to their son. Michel Desmarquet described a journey to the advanced world of Thiaoouba, while Artur Berlet claimed to have visited the planet Acart.
Chang Hsiang Chien said he was taken to Planet Gok and returned with information concerning gravity, mass, spacetime and advanced propulsion. The investigation also reaches into lesser-known and almost forgotten cases. An Australian woman known as Diane reported being taken to another planet containing white dwellings. Ukrainian witnesses described journeys aboard enormous craft, visits to strange worlds and automated extraterrestrial installations.
Pier Fortunato Zanfretta claimed repeated encounters in Italy, while Betty Andreasson Luca described experiences that blurred the boundary between physical abduction and another order of reality. Even Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, the former president of Kalmykia and longtime president of the international chess federation FIDE, publicly maintained that extraterrestrials removed him from his Moscow apartment and took him aboard their craft.
But Taken Beyond Earth is not simply a collection of extraordinary stories. It asks what the evidence actually allows us to believe. The book also examines what the witnesses claimed to see once they arrived. They described cities, underground settlements, white dwellings, vast halls and artificial environments unlike anything on Earth. They spoke of spacecraft without conventional engines, gravity manipulation, living technology, telepathic interfaces and machines apparently controlled through consciousness.
Some encountered beings who looked completely human, while others claimed hybrids or Earth-born people were already living permanently among extraterrestrial populations. Throughout the investigation, testimony is separated carefully from established science. Modern astronomy places severe constraints on rapid interstellar travel. Psychology raises serious questions about hypnosis and recovered memory.
Genetics places humanity firmly within terrestrial evolution, challenging claims that humans were simply imported from another world. Yet some cases still contain unexplained elements that resist easy dismissal. Taken Beyond Earth follows the witnesses, examines the worlds they said they saw and asks the question that remains unanswered after more than seventy years of extraordinary claims:Did humans really visit other worlds?
