We must learn to accept death as a part of life and realize that none of us are making history when we die. #4 As a rabbi, I knew that reminding people facing something difficult that they have faced difficulties before and found a way through helps them face their current challenges.
I was trying my best to be his rabbi and son during what I believed might well be the last back-and-forth of our lives.
