But the mental and emotional apparatus to sift through these distractions and process them in some meaningful way isn't there yet. #4 I was raised on Cat Island, a small island in the Caribbean, where there was no electricity or running water.
I had to learn how to survive without these things. I was exposed to stimuli, but they were natural ones.
