Then, three hundred pounds of ship's bread, two barrels of salt pork, twenty gallons of molasses, a barrel of salt beef, and a few small cartons of sugar and butter were loaded. #4 The Grafton finally set sail, with Musgrave as captain, two seamen, a cook, and a fifth crew member, a Portuguese man named Henry Forgès, who claimed that his name was Brown.
However, it didn't take long for Musgrave to find that this was completely untrue.
