Silent Promise

Grace Mitchell, a burned-out corporate lawyer, inherits her grandmother Eleanor's Victorian inn on Mirror Lake in New Hampshire. The will requires her to live there for one year. She meets Caleb Stone, a widower caring for the property since his wife Amy died. As they restore the inn together, they fall in love. Grace discovers her grandmother's letters revealing family secrets, including a great-uncle Robert who reconciles with the family.
They marry under an arch Caleb built, wearing a ring Amy left with her blessing. The epilogue shows them ten years later with two children-Eleanor and William-running a thriving inn and keeping the silent promises of generations.
